Reflexology techniques & theories have been noted for thousands of years.
It is a gentle non-invasive therapy. It uses the technique of applying gentle pressure, with the thumbs & fingers, to specific points on the feet or hands.
The points are called "reflexes" as they reflect, or mirror, the organs & structures of the body. In this way, the feet & hands are "mini-maps" of the body.
It can assist with many different conditions e.g. sleeping patterns, anxiety, IBS, hay fever, headaches, sciatica, menstrual cycle & fertility, to name but a few. It also encourages relaxation, better circulation & lymph drainage.
There are a few specific scientific studies as to how reflexology works, but many more proving the effectiveness of a treatment.
While there are few available scientific studies specifically into how reflexology works, there are scientific studies that positive During a treatment - you will remain fully clothed apart from removing your shoes & socks.
